On the Circuit: Ballet Ball 2027 Kickoff Party

This week, supporters, donors and friends of Nashville Ballet gathered at Denise Cummins’ stunning home for the Ballet Ball 2027 Kickoff Party. The sunny morning made the setting more effervescent as guests enjoyed lattes and mimosas while admiring the art throughout Denise’s home. Co-chairs Robinette Gaston and Viviana Lavin visited with guests as a ballerina posed by the staircase, drawing attention to the celebration and Nashville Ballet’s mission.

Guests then gathered in the kitchen, where Nick Mullikin, Nashville Ballet’s artistic director and CEO, addressed the crowd. “Each year, Nashville Ballet dedicates itself to serving its community on top of creating world-class performances,” he said, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to the community.

Nick encouraged guests to envision Nashville’s future: “Think about the community you want to create. Think about what that’s going to mean for you and what the future of the city can look like thanks to your work.”

Viviana thanked Denise for graciously opening her home and recognized honorary chair Emily Stowe for her kindness and compassion for the community. Robinette then announced that Giselle, which Nashville Ballet recently performed, will inspire the ball’s theme.
