The Nashville Symphony announced that New York City-based designer Lela Rose will return to headline the 2027 Symphony Fashion Show. No stranger to the event, Rose will make her second appearance at one of Nashville's most anticipated fashion events.
Known for her bold colors and feminine silhouettes, Rose will showcase her Fall/Winter 2027 collection. She launched her namesake label in 1996 from her New York City apartment, drawing on her fine arts background to develop a distinctive style featuring lively florals, geometric patterns and unexpected details. Her career gained national attention in 2001 when she designed outfits for Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush to wear to their father George W. Bush's inauguration.
“We are delighted to welcome Lela Rose back to Nashville for the Symphony Fashion Show, and we hope everyone will mark their calendars to join us on April 27 for this special night,” said 2027 Symphony Fashion Show co-chairs Natalie Clements and Mayra Lehman-Grimes. “We believe that fashion should be fun, and we adore Lela Rose’s fabulous prints and timeless silhouettes.”
With collections spanning ready-to-wear and bridal, Rose blends modern design with classic elegance. Her love of fashion and entertaining makes her return to Nashville especially fitting.
“I am so excited to be heading back to Nashville for the Symphony Fashion Show next spring,” Rose said. “I had the most wonderful time in 2022, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be invited back. Anyone who knows me knows I love a good party, and the ladies of Nashville certainly know how to throw one! What makes this event even more special is the opportunity to support the Nashville Symphony and its incredible music education programs.”
Gus Mayer, the event's presenting sponsor and longtime fashion partner, will welcome Rose to its Green Hills boutique for a public trunk show Oct. 28-29 featuring her Spring 2027 collection. For 17 years, the retailer has helped bring some of fashion's most celebrated designers to Nashville for the annual fundraiser.
Since its launch in 2006, the Symphony Fashion Show has raised funds for the Nashville Symphony and its year-round educational and community programs. Past designers include Oscar de la Renta, Pamella Roland, Prabal Gurung, Carolina Herrera, Brandon Maxwell and Monique Lhuillier.
The 22nd annual Symphony Fashion Show takes place April 27, 2027, at Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
