A year has passed since Four Seasons Hotel Nashville announced it was closing Mimo restaurant to make way for a multi-million-dollar reno and launch of Bacco in the lofty ground-floor space.
Since its April debut, the Tuscan-inspired steakhouse in the riverfront district near Ascend Amphitheater has hosted monthly collaborations of renowned sommeliers and chefs in its Big Night Sunday Supper series, inspired by the 1996 indie comedy film Big Night, about two immigrant brothers running an Italian restaurant.
August saw Top Chef winner Mei Lin team up with master-of-sake Stuart Morris, and September brought together chef-restaurateur Matt Peters and Bacco’s sommelier Nishaan Chavda.
On Oct. 25, Big Night Sunday Supper will feature Christophe de Lellis, executive chef of Michelin-starred Mamani in Dallas, and sommelier Alex Burch of local Bad Idea restaurant. The October four-course family-style feast highlighting duck has already sold out, but a new Parisian-themed alfresco after-party on the Terrazza extends the evening with chocolate, Cognac tastings and live entertainment.
For $59, guests can join the Parisian Nights party, where Four Seasons pastry chefs Hector Llompart and Jonathan Pereira will design an array of Valrhona Chocolate-infused desserts, candies and confections, along with French and Italian cheeses, to accompany Cognac tastings led by Hennessy Paradis global ambassadors. A portion of proceeds will be donated to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit that supports programs that feed children.
In November, Big Night Sunday Supper returns to pair celebrity chef Joe Sasto with Four Seasons sommelier David Stasko for a lamb-forward feast, while December combines Adam Sobel and Jeremy Shanker for a traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes.
Reservations for Big Night Sunday Suppers and Parisian Nights are available on OpenTable or by calling Bacco at (615) 610-6990. Parking is complimentary.
