On the Circuit: Picnic with the Library
Across the lobby of the Nashville Public Library, guests could imagine hearing the famous line from Where the Wild Things Are, “Let the wild rumpus start.” King Max made his appearance accompanied by a monstrous friend. This year’s theme was wildly popular with families — so much so that the crowd was the largest yet. Each spring, the Nashville Public Library Foundation invites supporters to enjoy an afternoon filled with the theme of a treasured children's book to raise funds to support the library's mission.
As families arrived, eager children pulled their grownups past a bountiful buffet of delicious comfort food like the event’s traditional chicken tenders and tempting cookies to explore all the festivities had to offer. In almost no time, young ones were parading proudly with balloon creations while sporting beautiful face painting designs.
After resting and taking in the buffet snacks, guests enjoyed a puppet and show story time from Wishing Chair Productions.
