Feb. 18 marked the start of the Catholic season of Lent — 40 days of prayer and religious observation in preparation for Easter Sunday. Part of this tradition is abstaining from eating meat on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays within this period.

Though known for bringing steak recipes to new heights, STK Steakhouse has debuted an exclusive seafood menu, “Bounty from the Seven Seas,”  which includes all courses of a high-end dinner and caters to Lenten diets.

Any guests looking for a buzz can try the Mermaid’s Brew: a tropical mix of Don Julio Reposado Tequila and ginger liqueur topped with hints of Reál Coconut, lime and pineapple.

Appetizers on the menu focus on the more shallow end of the sea. The king crab fondue combines potato and leek cream with decadent cheese and Point Reyes TomaTruffle. Crab and chive oil peek through these layers. In tandem, caviar kisses are served in threes, built on crème fraîche and thin-cut blinis.

The range of entrée selections gives guests many fish and crustaceans to choose from. Both the colossal lobster and swordfish are presented as the main event, with sides circling them on both sides. Meanwhile, the cold water lobster sits in surrounding fried rice and vegetable sides, as does the Broiled Branzino. Finally, the salmon in a bag aims to keep flavors contained for an easy cleanup.

Nashvillians can try these oceanic selections at the 12th Avenue South location until April 5.
