In its 23rd year, Dining Out for Life will offer more places, times and ways than ever to put your dining dollars to work in the fight against HIV. When nonprofit NashvilleCARES celebrates its signature fundraiser on May 1, more than 60 restaurants will be on board, contributing 25 to 100 percent of the day’s proceeds toward NashvilleCARES’s programs.

In a generous twist, DoFL is not just one day this year. While May Day is the focus, the festivities will stretch throughout the week to allow more restaurants to participate in ways that fit their calendars. For example, on April 30, Miel restaurant in Sylvan Park will contribute 50 percent of proceeds from food; on May 3, Lipstick Lounge will dedicate proceeds from brunch; and on May 5, kase x noko will host a dedicated event with all proceeds directed to NashvilleCARES.

The recent boom in Nashville restaurants means the DoFL roster is growing. Along with returning longtime supporters D’Andrews Bakery, Epice, Germantown Café, City House and Margot Café, this year’s event welcomes dining news headliners Bad Idea and Iggy’s. Both Noko in East Nashville and the Frist Museum’s new Café Cheeserie will offer specialty items with 100 percent of proceeds benefitting DoFL.

What’s more, you don’t even have to “dine out” to Dine Out for Life. “We have more creative ways to support this year,” says longtime DoFL supporter Arnold Myint, whose International Market will contribute 50 percent of proceeds on May 1. “In addition to reservations at your favorite spot, you can go to a bar, grab some bagels, order a pizza or go to brunch. There will be different things happening during the week.”
