After graduating from Memphis College of Art, Elisheba Israel Mrozik settled in Nashville in 2007. At that time, North Nashville was still affordable for a developing artist, and she quickly found many like-minded creators in the area. 

Elisheba — renowned as a tattoo artist at her studio, Queen Bee Ink — enjoys bringing her art to a larger canvas by creating murals in North Nashville. Her work can be found on buildings and inside schools like Napier Elementary and Jones Paideia Elementary. “With my art," Elisheba says, "I can put a message out and make the community better as they can see art every day.”

Named one of Nashville’s Emerging Leaders in 2020, Elisheba gives back to the community by helping new artists as the president of the North Nashville Arts Coalition. This grassroots group was founded in 2015 to promote the Jefferson Street Art Crawl, and their mission is to provide BIPOC artists with “access and opportunity to equitably thrive and to foster a community that enriches the legacy of art in Tennessee.”

Later this year, the North Nashville Cultural Crawl will return across 37208, spanning Jefferson Street, Buchanan Street — where Elisheba’s Queen Bee Ink is located — and Germantown’s 100 Taylor Arts Market.
