Northern Lights: The Art Galleries of North Nashville

- Updated
Throughout the growth of Nashville’s artistic community and institutions, art has always found a home across the city. On what was formerly downtown's Fifth Avenue, art galleries began to emerge and led to the birth of Fifth Avenue of the Arts and its subsequent art crawl. This burgeoning culture of the arts spread through the city, and the legacy that began in areas like Fifth Avenue now offer opportunities for residents and visitors alike to engage with expanded artistic expressions.
The neighborhood of North Nashville has been home to a variety of arts and cultural institutions, and Jefferson Street in particular has developed a vibrancy and light that’s all its own. For decades, the community has come together to celebrate the historical significance of this neighborhood through art in all formats and mediums. Join us as we step inside the art galleries of North Nashville.
