On the Circuit: Swan Ball Underwriters Party
Under a cloudy sky, guests arrived at the stunning home of Megan and Brian Fox for the Swan Ball Underwriters Party. Co-chairs Melanie Baker and Laura Niewold greeted an impressive crowd of longtime and new donors and supporters for the 2025 Swan Ball, which benefits Friends of Warner Parks. The energy was palpable as old friends shared laughs and exchanged more than a few hugs.
Servers — many familiar faces to the guests — circulated with trays of delectable hors d’oeuvres by Kristen Winston Catering. On the pool deck, guests mingled as the skies threatened to open. The dreary weather did not dampen the cheerful mood, and many lingered outside, almost daring the rain to come.
This year, Swan Ball Initiative, Inc. shifted its beneficiary from Cheekwood Estate & Gardens to Friends of Warner Parks. The Warner Parks is a 3,195-acre environmental oasis, just nine miles from downtown Nashville. In a close public-private partnership with Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation, Friends of Warner Parks honors its commitment to this iconic public space by overseeing comprehensive land and resource management, enhancing its historic features (listed in the National Register of Historic Places), and promoting educational programs that inspire a connection to nature. Jenny Hannon, president of the Friends of Warner Parks, noted the crowd’s jubilant spirit and said “the excitement builds as each event happens.”
