On April 18, the Centennial Park Conservancy will continue its tradition of hosting Nashville’s Earth Day, the city’s only official celebration. Guests can enjoy the free, family-friendly festivities from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event is in partnership with Urban Green Lab. Additionally, Waste Management returns as the conservancy’s official sustainability partner after helping redirect over 500 pounds of recycled materials from landfills in 2025.
“Earth Day is not just another celebration,” says Metro Parks director Monique Horton Odom. “It’s an important reminder that each of us has a role in protecting and caring for the planet we all share. Our commitment to our mission drives everything we do to help this city, and its residents understand that sustainability and conservation are more than passing trends.”
Throughout the event’s history, Centennial Park Conservancy has given back $208,000 to Nashville Earth Day’s environmental projects program. Guests can support the cause in a variety of ways, including donating on Nashville Earth Day’s website or volunteering at the event.
Nashville Earth Day will host a wide range of shops, with over 75 vendors. The Artisan Market brings in sustainable local businesses that produce upcycled and natural products. Food and drink will also be available from local food trucks and the conservancy’s Earth Day Pub.
Several Nashville musicians will also perform, including The Watson Twins, Phillip-Michael Scales, Rico Del Oro, Alex Wong and Bonner Black.
Young children can roam through several Kidsville installations, including a play zone and a parade, where they can showcase designs they create with recycled materials.
Since Centennial Park has limited free parking, guests are encouraged to walk, bike or take public transportation to the event.
