His latest venture brings him to Tennessee with a line of skincare products and services at The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Nashville, and we are happy to give you a glimpse into this affable young man's personal aesthetic and revolutionary skincare line. As Pietro says, "we are going to be best friends!"
Tell us about your journey to skincare. Specifically, when and how did you know this was a professional venture that excited you?
Growing up in Italy, I became intrigued with watching my mother apply her skincare. At age 5, I started experimenting with her face products. By age 13, I was treating my mom and her friends to facials with product samples from beauty counters. While my family wanted me to study hospitality and hone my culinary skills, I much preferred creating recipes for the face and began working for skincare companies as well as five-star hotels in Italy.
My quest to grow my business took me to London where visits to Harrods and Liberty solidified my decision to take up residence there and plant the seeds of my business. In 2016, I made my move and today, I am proud to say, the Pietro Simone Beauty Concept Store is known by London elite and draws clients from Russia, Germany, Austria, Israel, Italy, Saudi Arabia and more.
You have been called a "dynamic young disrupter in the beauty industry." What sets you apart? What is the secret to your success?
Through the insights from my childhood, almost 20 years of commercial experience and expertise garnered from the luxury beauty and wellness industries, as well as much research in science and nature, I learned that beauty is mathematical. I created a diverse range of high-tech, clinical treatments using state-of-the-art systems that produce results for the face and body across all ages and skincare needs. For example, I developed an essential skin resurfacing treatment comprised of my unique Signature Organic Cotton Thread Method based on a family secret I learned from my grandmother. This technique, coupled with science-led custom spa formulas enriched with my patented Italian Bella Complex, focuses on a multi-phase deep exfoliation which encourages cellular renewal for smoother looking, healthy skin. Another of my regenerative high-tech facial treatments works on lymphatic drainage and improving muscular tone while reducing oxidative stress and tissue acidosis. This Signature Dry Massage Technique, which engages all 42 of the facial muscles along with the neck and décolletage, restores and revitalizes skin proteins, collagen and elastin for an all-around dynamic anti-aging effect.
Why did you pick Nashville for one of your luxury spas? Also, feel free to brag, what are some of your favorite elements of your spa here?
At Meadowood Napa Valley in California, I worked with veteran Spa Manager Coleman Phillips, who I highly respect. He came to Nashville to head The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Nashville. His commitment to restorative services and treatments and his desire to offer cutting-edge skincare brands made his Spa the perfect partner for Pietro Simone Skincare.
The Spa is beautiful and serene within a vibrant urban setting. It offers a one-of-a-kind experience with results-driven treatments delivered by a team of skilled therapists. I love its location on the seventh floor adjacent to the fitness center and stunning resort-style pool. The Spa features six massage treatment rooms, a couple’s suite, and two dedicated facial massage rooms. There is also a full-service salon with manicure and pedicure stations perfect for indulgent pampering. I have trained therapists to deliver an experience as luxurious as The Spa itself. And, of course, my Essential, Prestige and Fierce lines of face and body products that still feature the five signature ingredients from my homeland of Italy, abundantly line the shelves.
I will also add that I love Nashville. The people here remind me of Italy. I also enjoy breakfast at Milk and Honey as well as the chicken and biscuits at Biscuit Love.
What was your motivating philosophy or vision that influenced your process?
My mission was to combine merging advanced biotechnologies with organic and natural ingredients, like my mother and grandmother used, to create vital skincare products and facial techniques. My key skincare philosophy — “Our Skin is the Theatre of Life” — has served as the inspiration in creating a comprehensive Skin Theatre suite of luxury retail and spa products for optimum look-good, feel-good skin. And what I believe to my core is that every person is naturally beautiful. My line only enhances what comes from within.
