April showers bring May flowers — and this year, May, June and July showers bring August flowers and fashion to Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. Fleurs de Villes ARTISTE, the global flower showcase that transforms mannequins into fresh floral artworks makes its debut at Cheekwood — the first time the exhibit has appeared at a historic estate in the United States.
Starting August 1, the Fleurs de Villes and Cheekwood teams will install floral fashion mannequins throughout the historic mansion, Botanic Hall and the Frist Learning Center. Each design draws inspiration from portraits in Cheekwood’s permanent art collection and features intricately arranged fresh flowers.
"We are very excited to see beautiful works from Cheekwood's permanent art collection transformed into floral masterpieces,” said Jane MacLeod, president and CEO of Cheekwood. “Fleurs de Villes ARTISTE represents a unique way to showcase the art beyond our galleries and highlight floral design. The exquisite display set against the backdrop of our historic estate will provide a memorable and inspiring experience for guests.”
Throughout the ten-day exhibit, Cheekwood will host special events tied to Fleurs de Ville ARTISTE. August 1, the Council of Contemporaries will kick off the celebration with a first look at the new exhibit. On August 2, guests can sip, stroll, and celebratethe installation at a summer Cocktail Crawl
Fleurs de Villes ARTISTE will be on view from August 1 – 10, 2025. Cheekwood will offer extended hours to view the breathtaking floral installations. Visit cheekwood.org for tickets and more information.
