To launch the season of events preceding December’s Symphony Ball, co-chairs Jason Bradshaw and Bob Deal invited supporters and donors of the Nashville Symphony to the Symphony Ball Prelude Party. Guests arrived at the exquisite home of Haden and Brian Cook to celebrate the return of the legacy event that has raised millions of dollars for music education in Nashville. This year the Symphony Ball will celebrate its 40th year with Bruce Pittman partnering with Jason and Bob to create a spectacular event.
Guests of the evening enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails before gathering together in the family room for remarks. Alan Valentine, president & CEO of the Nashville Symphony Association took to the front of the room to thank everyone for their continued support. Alan noted “40 years of the symphony ball, [is] an amazing milestone to have reached. The First Ball was held on a Wednesday night in December of 1985 at the Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel.” He recalled the first Symphony Ball co-chairs were Judy Simmons and Jeannie Hastings. Alan offered many thank yous and spotlighted the late party co-chairs Virginia Ingram Garchitorena, Ben Swann, Kacy and Michael Young as well as Betsy Wills for her dedication, support and commitment to the Nashville Symphony.
