On the Circuit: Symphony Ball Kickoff Party

On an evening when nature was in perfect harmony, a string quartet played as guests arrived at the stunning home of Sarah Ingram, filling the air with classical compositions that set the tone for the annual Symphony Ball Kickoff Party. Bill Forrester greeted donors and supporters of the Nashville Symphony with his trademark smile and familiar refrain, “Are you behavin’?”
Throughout the night, guests mingled through the elegant rooms and out into the manicured garden as music drifted softly in the background. Servers circulated with trays of hors d’oeuvres — signature creations by Kirsten Winston Catering — while co-chairs Grace Awh and Sarah Ingram welcomed attendees with warmth and ease.
When the crowd had gathered, Alan Valentine, president and CEO of the Nashville Symphony, stepped forward to offer thanks. He recognized the Symphony Ball co-chairs and extended appreciation to the Late Party chairs, Bronson Ingram, Eva Landstreet and Warner Tidwell, whose energy helps extend the celebration well into the night.
Now in its 41st year, the Symphony Ball remains one of Nashville’s most anticipated galas, raising vital funds to support the symphony’s performances, community outreach and education programs. As twilight faded to starlight, guests lingered a little longer — a fitting reminder that music and generosity continue to strike a perfect chord in Nashville.
