On the Circuit: Swan Ball Committee Kickoff

The evening brimmed with lively conversation and purposeful planning. The annual Swan Ball Committee Kickoff drew a devoted crowd of volunteers, each playing a vital role in the gala’s success. The gathering marked the official start of preparations for Swan Ball 2026 — an eight-month effort by more than 200 volunteers to raise crucial funds for Friends of Warner Parks, the event’s beneficiary.

Co-chair Jennie Garth Lowe opened her home for the reception, welcoming guests with warmth and ease. Servers glided through the candlelit terrace with trays piled high with beef tenderloin canapés, seared tuna wontons, warm Gruyère gougères, shrimp and cucumber sushi bites, and bacon-wrapped dates. Friends visited as co-chairs Jenny Richter Corts and Jennie greeted each guest, expressing appreciation for their energy and enthusiasm. The sound of laughter mixed with clinking glasses as guests discussed ideas, inspiration, and memories from Swan Balls past.

Many guests reminisced about when the home belonged to Ted Welch, fondly recalling his legendary parties that brought together leaders from both sides of the aisle. His gatherings encouraged fellowship and friendship — a spirit that continues to define Swan Ball today.
