On the Circuit: Swan Ball Auction Committee Kickoff

Just a few months after the close of Swan Ball 2025, planning for Swan Ball 2026 is already in full swing. In the Fairway room at Belle Meade Country Club, Swan Ball Auction Committee members gathered to launch months of work ahead as they secure auction lots to raise funds to benefit Friends of Warner Parks — the Swan Ball 2026 beneficiary.

Committee members Julie Schneider and Mary Jo Shankle welcomed guests at the door while servers passed trays of hors d’oeuvres, including mini ahi tuna tacos and roma tomato sandwiches. After two months of scattered summer events, friends enjoyed a chance to reconnect.

Swan Ball 2026 co-chairs Jennie Garth Lowe and Jenny Corts took to the front of the room to thank everyone for their commitment. They then introduced Swan Ball 2026 Auction Committee Chairs Terri Major and Jody Mattison who addressed the vibrant crowd. Their message to the group was to raise as much money for the beneficiary and, more importantly, to have fun.

Terri then set the tone for the night. “We want to create five ‘Swan worthy’ items tonight,” she said, directing guests to the inspiration boards placed around the room. Attendees eagerly gathered at the boards, and the kickoff quickly built momentum for the season ahead.
