Nonprofit leaders-turned-entrepreneurs Megan Godbey and Marielle Lovecchio founded the Verdant Center in Joelton, Tenn., 20 minutes outside of Nashville. Since opening in December 2025, the Verdant Center has become a space for women to step away from everyday stressors and prioritize their well-being and growth.
“We are on a mission to see women well,” says the Verdant Center in a press release. “We know how much women are investing in their families and friends, communities, workplaces and beyond. We design and host retreats for women so they can connect with themselves and others, fill their cup and renew their energy.”
Since guests have different needs, the Verdant Center hosts customizable retreats that create space for self-care, professional gatherings and quality time with loved ones. The team works with guests to assemble the best possible experience based on guest size, length of stay, group goals and budget.
Parts of the property are available for custom retreat rental, while the location can be booked in advance for weddings and other non-retreat events.
For casual visitors, the Verdant Center also hosts weekly themed retreats for women during the day. The next month includes the following:
The Tarot: A Tool to Connect with Your Intuition on Feb. 27
Refill Your Cup: A Retreat to Overcome Burnout on March 7
Journey through the Lens: A Photography Retreat for Nature Lovers on March 14
Ostara: A Retreat to Celebrate the Return of Spring on March 21
In the future, the Verdant Center plans to bring its retreats closer to home by offering downloadable DIY retreats through an app. More information is available at www.verdantcenter.org.
