Alice Campbell and Robert Brackenbury first met in New York City in 2013, and Robert proposed in August 2022 in the backyard of a Nashville house which the couple was renovating. They married in February 2023 at a private club in Palm Beach, Florida, in a Mizner-designed courtyard under blooming pink bougainvillea and hanging paper lanterns — giving the evening an ethereal glow. The early-evening ceremony took place before a floral arch of coral, hot pink and white roses, blue and white hydrangea, and delphinium. 

Todd Jones, retired senior pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, officiated. He invoked the late grandparents of the bride, Alice and Henry Hooker, and spoke of gratitude and giving. The Encore Chamber Players — on violin, cello, trumpet and viola — performed classical works by Handel and Bach, and two vocalists enhanced the evening with selections from Puccini.

The bride wore a Vera Wang gown of guipure lace and a family heirloom veil of rose point lace. She carried a cascading bouquet of orchids, stephanotis, gardenias, roses and freesia. 

The wedding party consisted of siblings of the bride or groom — Eileen Hart, John Campbell IV, Christopher Hart and Alice Brackenbury — as well as the bride's niece and nephew. Other groomsmen were Philippe de Croÿ-Solre and James Leon Clark Benn. The bridesmaids wore coral gowns by Olia Zavozina and carried pink and coral roses.

After cocktails, a seated dinner featured a cold seafood trio followed by chicken á l'orange with bigarade sauce and Boursin polenta. Each guest received a miniature three-tiered chocolate cake, served on a plate inscribed with the bride's new monogram in chocolate sauce. A spun-sugar basket held peppermint ice cream, accompanied by a small, warm pot of chocolate sauce.

Page & Windrow helped plan the event, and The Sultans, a wedding ensemble from Boston, played classic hits throughout the evening. After the couple departed on a decorated golf cart amid a canopy of sparklers, guests enjoyed late-night coconut cake and a piano bar overlooking Lake Worth.

Following a wedding trip to Antigua, the newlyweds will divide their time between Nashville and London, England. An alumna of Vanderbilt University and a CFA charterholder, Alice is a solutions specialist at Built Technologies; Robert holds a B.A. from London School of Economics, M.A. from Columbia University and law degree from University of Law in London. Parents are Lisa Hooker Campbell and John Palmer Campbell III of Nashville, and Shane Ellison Brackenbury and Richard Charles Brackenbury of London.
