On April 16, 1981, the New York Yankees came to Herschel Greer Stadium, in what is now known as Wedgewood-Houston, to play an exhibition game against the Nashville Sounds, who served as their farm team from 1980 to 1984.

The star-studded lineup under the guitar-shaped scoreboard included Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, catcher-turned-coach Yogi Berra and candy bar superstar Reggie Jackson, No. 44, who led the Yankees to a 10-1 victory in front of the standing-room-only crowd.
