Nfocus Steeplechase Style Event Dazzles With Hats and Fashion

On a beautiful spring evening, The Mall at Green Hills was transformed into its Steeplechase best as guests gathered for the Nfocus Steeplechase Style event. The atrium design of the shopping hotspot enhanced the feeling of Steeplechase as late-afternoon sunlight streamed onto the exclusive gathering. Once they entered, guests enjoyed delicious snacks from Host & Toast Luxury Concierge, sipped bourbon from Uncle Nearest, or imbibed effervescent bubbles as they browsed the Gus Mayer and Store 5a pop-up shops. Gus Mayer offered artistically designed hats by Christine A. Moore, whose designs have graced the walkways of Steeplechase and the Kentucky Derby, as well as stylish brunches and exclusive affairs. Store 5a offered a beautiful selection of sparkling vintage jewelry.

After guests had visited and shopped, Haley Vance and Honorary Chair Jay Wellons, representatives of Steeplechase beneficiary Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, took the stage. Together, they thanked guests for attending the evening, one of the many events leading up to Steeplechase. They also described the important work of the pediatric hospital, such as comprehensive services for patients with cancer, trauma, various diseases, developmental disorders, general surgical needs and more. They noted that the hospital is one of the top facilities in the country and has been ranked the “no. 1 children’s hospital in Tennessee” by U.S. News and World Report, among many other accolades. 

The evening was also an opportunity for attendees to mingle with the Nfocus Steeplechase Style Contest judges: Bentley Caldwell, Mary Huddleston and Carson Love. These judges have been given the difficult task of finding the most fashionable racegoers at Steeplechase. It was clear that excitement was building for the race day.
