The Nashville Wine Auction’s signature fundraiser, l’Eté du Vin, is returning this fall with 26th-generation winemaker Alessia Antinori serving as the guest of honor. The 42nd annual event, which converted to a virtual fundraiser last year, will be held in person on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the JW Marriott and will celebrate the wines of Antinori. The Antinori family has been in the winemaking business since 1385 when patriarch Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild.
l’Eté du Vin will commence at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction and tasting of Antinori wines before dinner and a live auction at 7 p.m. Tickets begin at $350 per person. A black-tie patrons dinner will be held on Friday, Oct. 15, at The Hermitage Hotel for $1,000 per person. Tickets for both events go on sale on June 8.
In addition to l’Eté du Vin, the Nashville Wine Auction is hosting a series of gourmet dinners called “A Summer of Antinori.” On Friday, July 23, Giovanni Ristorante will host “A Taste of Piemonte,” featuring the wines of Prunotto. E3 Chophouse will host “An Expression of Napa Valley,” featuring Antica wines crafted by Antinori, on Friday, August 20, and Johnny Haffner will host a private dinner on his porch on Friday, Sept. 10, celebrating the wines of Guado al Tasso. Tickets for each dinner range from $300-325 per person.
