Oscar Night at the 2010 Legacy Ball

Published On: May 13, 2010

Everyone enjoys a little VIP treatment every once and a while. The 2010 Legacy Ball, benefiting the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center, allowed folks to get all gussied up and strut down the red carpet into a fun-filled evening. Local “stars” of the nonprofit scene received a warm welcome at the event, with “A Night at the Oscars” theme.

The Cool Springs Embassy Suites was transformed into a venue fit for Hollywood, with a real red carpet, velvet ropes, and a personalized marquee that led guests into the dining room. As the WCCAC’s premiere fundraiser, this event made each and every guest to feel like a serious star while benefiting a fabulous organization.

The WCCAC was founded ten years ago and has been providing free services to children who have been physically or sexually abused. With services including counseling, case management and victim advocacy, they do a world of good for children throughout the Williamson County area. Last year alone, the WCCAC offered 1500 services to 599 new clients, all the while relying mostly on donations and community support.

Not only was this an important evening for those involved with the cause, it was a huge blast, too. The black-tie optional dress code let people get a little creative with their dress. Ladies donned everything from ballgowns to fancy cocktail dresses while men stayed a bit more classic with a tux. From dining and dancing to bidding on auction items, partygoers never experienced a dull moment. After a night chock full of excitement and amusement, many guests retired to their hotel rooms, which were only an elevator ride away. Now that’s what we call true VIP treatment MM
