Nashville welcomes a herd—or a gaggle?—of creative restaurants

Nashville NFocus - Volume 17 Number 4

Whether you eat like a bird or are as hungry as a horse, there's a pack of intriguing restaurants stampeding onto Nashville's dining landscape—and they're all named for animals. From the exotic spices of The Smiling Elephant to the seasonal inspirations at The Silly Goose and the vegan-friendly fare at The Wild Cow, there's a menagerie of inventive menus out there. Please, don't feed the animals...let them feed you.

Who rocked our world?

Nashville NFocus - Volume 17 Number 2

Just think about all the songs that use the word "party" in them. From Miley Cyrus and Kool and the Gang to Hank Williams, Jr. and Eddie Murphy, party is the word. Here in Music City, we live what we sing. We party 24/7. Recession? What recession? We didn't know there was a recession going on, 'cause we've been partying so hard!

Leslie Matthews—leading folks to a higher plane

Om...

Nashville NFocus - Volume 17 Number 2

Leslie Matthews has the unique job of trying to find an unchanging and eternal peace—every single day. Finding tranquility brings in her paycheck (not a bad day at the office, eh?), and calmness is her teaching. The route to a beautiful life, soul and body, according to Leslie, can be found through the ancient technique of yoga.
