Eco-Chic

Posted by Mandi Coleman (04.01.08, 7:32 PM)

Notice anything different lately when it comes to the conversations you may have related to fashion? The word GREEN seems to come up much more frequently than ever before, from what I've seen anyway. Organic fabrics, canvas bags for groceries, and even fashionable eco-friendly furnishings for your home are all the rage and in every issue of related magazines.

Personally, I'm really excited about the changes, and once everyone catches on perhaps we really can make a difference, at least in terms of recycling and wastefulness. And for you girls that just have to have the latest and greatest, every designer is making a sustainable effort. Buy the bag or jeans knowing that even though they may not be in style a few seasons from now, you can rid of it guilt-free!

Yeap seems that green is the new black! All of us need to do something to clean up even small things like recycling plastic or bringing those plastic bags back to the grocery store. Every little bit will help to keep the world safer for the next generations.

Love the Marc Jacobs canvas bags. I'm very excited that Nashville is FINALLY catching on to the fact that we can't keep dumping all our junk in a hole. The holes are getting filled up and it's started to spill onto the streets in some areas of the world. We don't want ours to get that way.
