A Presidential Visit

Posted by Mandi Coleman (03.12.08, 1:07 PM)

I work by the airport, which means that after Airforce One touched down, all roads were closed and we were trapped within a 1 mile radius.

I'm not going to get into an entire political debate on who should win and who should shut up. There is enough of that on talkshows, news channels, and publications. But I found it quite amusing that he didn't speak much on the topic of McCain, and he hardly stayed long enough to give his speech. He did, however, mention once again his strong feelings about the U.S. staying in Iraq.

Bush has been battered and bruised and can't seem to pull himself together to say anything about any other topic besides Iraq. I will admit I voted for the man, I will also admit I will not be sad to see him go. After saying that I have to wonder why there is no one stepping up to take his place that has a clue about what is going on in this country. There doesn't seem to be anyone in politics right now who is in touch with reality. I mean it seems to me that all common sense left the political scene on the last plane out.

There is someone - her name is Hillary. She actually does have an idea about what is going on.

And for the record I did not vote for Bush either time and I agree with you Janet - won't be sad to see him go at all. :)

I know Mandi said she didn't want to turn this into a political debate however, I have to reply to Just Sayin, saying that Hillary is the name of the person who knows what's going on, Seriously...I mean Hillary wants us to buy into Universal Health Care she is weak on illegal immigration and seems to have some pretty strong socialistic views that frankly offend me. Now I'm not saying that I think any of the candidates are very strong contenders for the office of President of the United States but I will say that in my opinion Hillary Clinton is not the answer.

You're right Janet. We don't really have any great front-runners this year. One is having an identity crisis, one wants to give the world to lazy people, and one hasn't been seen in the media much at all lately
