Fairways

It's definitely Golf season, with the Barclays in full force this week and the greens being trampled every weekend by adoring fans of the game. Who cares that the temperature is reaching way above the 100 mark, they go out and hit the ball with all their might, taking in the scenery as they watch the ball fly through the air.

I'm really glad that they are able to play in such a beautiful setting. Really I am. But how about the water pressure in the Belle Meade area lately? Girls, have you noticed the shampoo isn't washing out quite as easily as it did a month ago?

The private golf courses in that immediate area are using the majority of the residents' water. But it really looks pretty as you drive by! Almost pretty enough to park your car and lay under their sprinklers to cool off. I realize that Belle Meade is not alone in this, seeing that there are numerous courses to choose from in the Nashville area alone. I have friends playing in a tournament at Pebble Brook this weekend. I'm hoping that after reading this they'll take advantage of the sprinklers and have their own slip 'n' slide party! Now that's a great way to spend a weekend afternoon.

I think it's because they've been pouring water on the new Warner Park Sports field at Vaughn Road and Old Hickory Blvd! Ridiculously verdant.
