It was a weekend of activity that brought notables and friends together from around the country. Meharry kicked off with Circle of Friends on Thursday night, and Friday brought Roberta Flack to town for a concert and strolling supper that started and ended at the Global Café. She was on her way to Athena Day Spa for the full treatment when the tornado stormed through, keeping her safe at the hotel. Michael Carter promised her a rain check.
