FrivoliTIES patrons party keeps guests out of the cold

Published on February 02, 2010 at 9:36am

The recent cold snap left Nashvillians no choice but to stay inside, hunker down, and try to stay warm. Folks only left their homes for necessities. Well, it seems as if the FrivoliTIES patrons party was one thing that simply could not be missed. Everyone put on their warmest coats and gloves and braved the frigid temperatures to make their way to the home of Arnita and Tim Ozgener. Their Brentwood home warmly welcomed guests inside to gear up for the big FrivoliTIES ball, an event supporting Family and Children's Service.

Now in its 16th year, FrivoliTIES has been dubbed "The Party with a Purpose," honoring the Kappa Alpha Theta Nashville chapter. Everyone at the patrons party surely cares about this purpose, as they enjoyed the evening despite the yucky weather. Arnita and Tim are a dynamite couple. She is an interior designer, and Tim reigns as president of CAO, one of the foremost cigar companies. Their home is a fabulous blend of sophistication and comfort, making for the perfect party venue. As guests arrived, many inhaled the aromatic cigar smoke wafting from downstairs. The ultimate man cave played host to a special scotch-and-cigar room, complete with a flat-screen television and the biggest humidor room known to man. If this wasn't enough, a full bar kept partygoers satisfied. Nothing better than a glass of single-malt to warm the belly! Upstairs, a lavish spread of palatable treats tempted everyone. Whole Foods did a fabulous job with the chow, keeping things easy yet interesting.

In the kitchen was another bar, where the long, wavy kitchen sink made some folks wonder if they'd had one too many sips of scotch. A patrons party is always a more intimate setting than the actual event, but everyone seemed to be flitting with enthusiasm about the big night. Between the scotch, the fine cigars and the palpable anticipation for the party, everyone was definitely staying warm despite the glacial air! MM
