All eyes on Ming

Evening of dance at EyeBall helps restore vision

Published on February 02, 2010 at 8:19am

Just one glance at Ming Wang on the dance floor, and you know he is as nimble on his feet as he is with his hands in the operating room. As he floats gracefully across the dance floor at Gaylord Opryland Hotel during his annual fundraiser, The EyeBall, which raises money for his Foundation for Sight Restoration, you can't help but wonder how one man could be blessed with all these skills.

Perhaps that's the reason he is so giving of his services through the foundation, which provides medical care to terminally blind patients free of charge. Wang has helped individuals in 55 countries with vision issues, and at the fifth annual EyeBall, more than 600 black-tie clad guests were on hand to see Ming perform and to celebrate the foundation's generosity.

Ming and wife JJ, dazzling in a vibrant sapphire gown, wowed the group with their classical ballroom dance to the music of The Godfather. It's Ming's vision of the future—a future where everyone can see—that moves the room even more than his brilliant performance.

It was an inspirational evening, indeed. Inspiring people to dance, celebrate and rejoice for tomorrow, in hope that people will see more clearly. Thanks, Doc. EN
